Back to Basics: how to ride a Hoverboard
Teaching you how to ride a Hoverboard means Going back to basics. You stand on the Hoverboard with your feet flat and spread shoulder width apart. This is precisely where the outer-part of the footpads are. It’s also where the gyroscope sensors are and therefore provides the best response, especially for those who may be light in weight. If you’re a little heavier, you can place you feet a little closer, but we find shoulder width is better for stability. You move the board by simply tilting your bodyweight in the direction you want to travel. Riders can then apply more or less weight as they tilt in order to make the board go faster or slower. In basic terms, the speed and direction of the Hoverboard is dictated by the rider’s weight distribution.
Therefore, stopping the board is just as easy. Rider will simply tilt their feet in the opposite direction. That is all there is to it! The more you ride your Hoverboard the more it will become second nature to you. However, if you’re anything like us you won’t be able to get off your Swegway! That’s the secret to becoming a pro SKUDA rider.

As you can see in the above diagram, riders should first place their body flush. We understand that riders may first start out as fairly worries and conscious of their balance. However, it is very important that you remain relaxed during this moment. We find that the more confident the rider, the more balanced and stable the Swegway becomes.
In the second step, it illustrates how your right food forward makes the Hoverboard turn left. Equally, the left food forward makes the Hoverboard turn to the right. Riders must remain upright and not swing their bodies left to right, but only front and back.
